EARLY LEARNING SCHOOL
Level 0 - Aged 4 to 6
BLASC's Early Learning School is influenced from the start by the distinctive Reggio Emilia approach, which recognizes and celebrates each child's intrinsic strengths and qualities. We see children as knowledgeable and capable, and we value childhood as a time to experiment, create, and have fun while learning.
We believe we're 'doing things a little differently.' Students in Early Learning have enhanced social skills and are more adaptable to changes and new environments. As a result, our objective is to provide a well-planned environment in which children are encouraged to take on tasks based on their natural desire to learn.
Level 0 is a happy year full of new experiences, growth, and progress in all areas. These years of learning has an influence on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills at the most vulnerable stage of development. BLASC encourages and support each child to be self-sufficient, emotionally intelligent, and completely integrated into the primary level by giving them the stamina to manage it.
Our program embraces creativity, problem solving, and attentiveness. The Level 0 team approaches teaching and learning holistically and via play, ensuring that all students have a good time. All activities are included in the curriculum to promote sensory development and engage inquisitive minds.

JUNIORS PHASE
Level 1 - Aged 7 to 9
At BLASC’s Junior Phase Level 1, children aged 7 to 9 embark on an educational journey that blends hands-on learning with workbook exercises, continuous assessment, and a nurturing environment.
Our integrated program builds a strong foundation in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics while fostering language skills in Afrikaans and isiXhosa.
With small ability groups and supportive coaches, every child is given the attention they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Level 2 - Age 10 to 12
At BLASC’s Intermediate Phase Level 2, children aged 10 to 12 are nurtured to become autonomous, critical thinkers.
Our holistic approach combines traditional subjects with modern skills, fostering inquiry-based and project-based learning.
With a supportive environment and a comprehensive curriculum that includes English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, and more, we prepare students for a successful future.

Level 3: Senior Phase - Empowering Self-Discovery and Critical Thinking
At BLASC’s Senior Phase Level 3, students aged 13 to 15 are encouraged to engage in self-discovery and develop critical thinking skills through project-based learning and research activities.
Our CAPS syllabus is integrated with cultural and leadership sessions to provide a comprehensive educational experience, preparing students for the FET Phase.
