At BLASC, we believe that when you take care of yourself, you can take care of the world around you. Our holistic approach to education allows us to provide each student with individualized curriculum development with an emphasis on emotional intelligence, evolutionary education, and care.
EDUCATION
BLASC is a curriculum provider and we will assist all parents with registering their child at the WCED for homeschooling.
- BLASC has qualified FET and GET skilled educators who are trained and equipped to use the CAPS syllabus.
- We create an individualized curriculum for each BLASC student and educate them on their academic pace.
- We provide a bi-monthly character report and one academic report at the end of every semester (2 academic reports a year).
- Our academic day starts at 08:30 - 14:30 Monday through to Thursday and on Friday we dismiss at 12:30pm.
- Teacher-learner ratio 2:15
BLASC will keep the following on record (which is required by the WCED):-
- Record of attendance
- Yearly portfolio of child’s work
- Up-to-date records of the child’s progress.
- Evidence of the continuous assessment of the child's work.
- Evidence of the assessment and/or examination at the end of the year
- Evidence at the end of grade 3, 6 and 9 that shows whether your child has achieved the outcomes from these grades
PLAYGROUND
Although playgrounds provide a secure environment for children to acquire important physical, social, emotional, and imaginative skills required to gain self-confidence, enhance coordination, and progress critical thinking abilities, BLASC also favor walks on the beach and in the forest.
We enjoy spending time in green environments as it increases our mood and self-esteem (all of which are critical to children's happiness), and it amplifies these positive benefits.
Like playgrounds, children engage in more imaginative play in nature-based areas, which boosts their learning ability.
A wonderful dose of nature is an excellent way to break up the monotony of school time.
BLASC learners are always fascinated by the natural world and frequently stop to marvel at its wonders.
PRACTICAL LEARNING
Students at BLASC get a chance to learn and put their technology skills to use. Our students create, curate, manage and administer their own school social media content.
This content is reviewed by our educators and is published, ensuring a sense of collective pride, team work and responsibility from our students.
CLASSES
Our classes are carefully crafted to meet the development needs of the each and every child. Our educators and support staff are highly professional and trained.
